Bäkenäl is a safe space.

Founded in 2019, Bäkenäl aims to set a new precedent in Bushwick for venues as the first zero waste event space. In partnership with The Regeneration, a local sustainability magazine and consultancy as well as Cup Zero, our events strive to leave as little of an environmental impact as possible.

In addition, Bäkenäl is founded on the premise of non-compromised audio and music. We only bring the best of the best audio to host our favorite artists on. Every dance floor we invite you to will be infiltrated with addicting sounds from around the world, for a fully funktional and dynamic audiophile experience. A true eargasm, as we may say, with some incredibly sexy, vibey, quirky, and unique sounds and rhythms from your new favorite artists.

Lastly, we strive to create unique & immersive theatrical experiences with every event. Come back to your favorite, sexy, and multi-faceted clowns or meet them for your first time. Surprise experiences added to every party, to surprise the first timers and our loyal guests.
